Polyphon wins Emmy for “Familie Braun”

On Monday evening, the eight-episodes short-form Dramedy “Familie Braun” won the international Emmy Award in the category “Best Short Series” and prevailed against productions from Argentina, Canada and Brazil.

As a coproduction of Polyphon Film- und Fernsehgesellschaft mbH and ZDF / Quantum, Das kleine Fernsehspiel, the series had ist first run in February / March 2016 on ZDF. “Familie Braun” are the brothers Thomas and Kai (played by Edin Hasanovic and Vincent Krüger), two young neo-Nazis who live together in a flat apartment in Berlin. One day, six-year-old Lara enters Thomas´live from a long-forgotten One Night Stand with a young woman from Eritrea. The little girl shakes up his ideology through asking little, simple questions.
