He is a psychopath, one of the most abysmal murderers, who ever kept the pressure on “Tatort” -team Klaus Borowski (Axel Milberg) and Sarah Brandt (Sibel Kekilli) from Kiel – and the only one who has escaped them at the end: Kai Korthals (Lars Eidinger). His trick: He sneaks up in a particularly insidious way into the homes of his female victims, before he kills them brutally. Now he is back: From February 24 until March 25, Claudia Garde is shooting the thriller “Borowski and the Return of the Silent Guest” (working title) in Kiel and Hamburg for NDR and ARD Degeto.
For Claudia Garde it is the fourth “Tatort” with the chief inspector from Kiel. The screenplay was written by Sascha Arango, a two time Grimme prize-winner. He also wrote the draft for the kick-off episode with Kai Korthals, “Borowski and the silent guest”. The film was shown in September 2012 on ARD. It is the first time in the history of “Tatort” that a so-called “sequel” is being shot – which means that a character will be appearing a second time with a new story to tell.
In addition to Axel Milberg, Sibel Kekilli and Lars Eidinger play Thomas Kügel, Lea Draeger and Gilla Cremer among others.
“Tatort: Borowski and the return of the silent guest” is a production of Nordfilm Kiel GmbH commissioned by NDR and ARD Degeto. Producer is Kerstin Ramcke, Executive Producer John Pollmann. Camera: Philip Peschlow. Production Supervisors are Sabine Holtgreve (NDR) and Birgit Titze (ARD Degeto).
ARD shows the thriller next year.
