BR - New broadcasting center Freimann

Studio Hamburg Media Consult International (MCI) GmbH has been contracted by T-Systems to design and implement the new broadcasting center of the Bayerische Rundfunk in Munich-Freimann. T-Systems was projecting the IT-standard components and videoserver as general contracter in this project.
MCI was implementing the conception and realisation part of the broadcast-, the control- and the Harris-automation system including individual designed studio furniture.

The project was unique with the first complex implementation of different IT- and broadcast technologies. The broadcasting center consists of four continuity-rooms, a central controlroom, broadcast preparation areas, areas of Avid NLE, VT-workstations, archive-workstations and the Studio FM4 including controlrooms.

The planning started in 2003. The system was finished mid 2006.
